Cape Town is such a great city to live in, why you ask? Visit and you’ll find out! But seriously, you can dine at amazing places, see beautiful views and spend time with friends in radical spots. I met Reen for brekkie this weekend at the Sidewalk Café in Vredehoek. If you haven’t been it is a great little spot for breakfast or lunch – but I stress the little part. If you don’t make a booking you might be disappointed or have to wait for a table. We were lucky to grab a table outside for our breakfast and we were also lucky that the weather played ball, halfway thorugh breakfast we were both cursing the sun and wishing for the clouds to come over – another reason Cape Town is so rad – beautiful summer days straight after cold, stormy ones! We both really enjoyed our breakfast, I had an omelette with onions, mushrooms and bacon, served with bread that I am 90% sure had been fried in butter (heaven). Reen had a croissant with scrambly eggs, spinach and bacon – looked delish. The vibe is totally chilled, so the waiters don’t bug you every 7 seconds to find out if you’re ok, but are also attentive enough to know when you’re needing a refil. If you wanna check it out, give them a shout on 021 461-2839.
Check out the ridiculously rad view from our table, the epic pole with random stickers and my amazeballs omelette! Oh and lets not forget that bottle of Tabasco … jealous much?
