I think food always tastes better when someone else cooks it for you and I’m not thinking restaurants – that is an entirely different dining experience. But when someone cooks something for you they put love and goodness into it that somehow make the food taste better. Even more rad when it’s cooked for you in your own home. Lucky me – I had just that last night. And even though it went against every fibre of his being, he left out the ham in order to make it a meat free Monday. I was served up a bowl of absolutely yummy delish pea and mushroom risotto. And there was plenty left over for lunch today. I am always a bit scared of making risotto on a stove top and have a pretty much fool proof bake in the oven vibe, but then dish was cooked up quickly (ok it probably helped that he’d made his own stock – something I’ve never done) … Add in some red wine, onions and other goodness and you have a bowl of something delish! Yum yum, I’ll have seconds please!
