A few weeks ago we headed down to my friends house in Shelley Point on the Cape West Coast. This is one of my favourite weekend destinations. It is only about 2.5 hours away from the city but it feels like a million miles away. We were lucky and the good weather followed us, leaving cold and wet weather at home.
We had an absolutely amazing sunset on the first night and I decided to try out some of the settings on my new camera (just a little point and shoot from Canon, but I ♥ it). One of the settings is super vivid which makes the colours in the frame really intense. And this is how the pic was captured.
It was a great weekend away, for once I didn’t really do any of the cooking and we were treated to mushroom wonton’s from Hammie and Becky of the FGC (foreign girlfriend club) as starters and a delish ostrich bolognaise from Brap on Friday. Breakfast the next morning was a group effort and lunch was a quick sarmie before the rugga. Dinner was a potjie from the boys and Caels and I braaied our meat (seemed like a weekend of complete role reversal). But it was a great time none the less. With plenty of dancing, laughing, eating, talking, drinking, sharing and more and more laughing! Looking forward to next time! ♥ You Shelley Point!
